
Glasswing International, a nonprofit organization working in education, mental health and community development, has welcomed model and entrepreneurÌýValentina FerrerÌýto its Board of Directors. Ms. Ferrer joins the Board after working closely with Glasswing as a dedicated student mentor inÌýNew York City.
A native of Córdoba,ÌýArgentina, Ms. Ferrer was crowned Miss Argentina in 2014 and represented her country at the Miss Universe pageant. She has worked as a model with brands including ALO Yoga, Chloe,ÌýHugo Boss, Nike, Michael Kors, Agua Bendita andÌýRalph Lauren. In 2019, Ms. Ferrer co-founded KAPOWDER, a line of supplements containing ethically sourced ingredients that are vegan and cruelty-, gluten- and GMO-free.
As a mentor, Valentina engages high school students in a range of experiential activities that help them develop resilience, empathy and a growth mindset, while instilling confidence and motivating learning and participation. At the 10th Annual Glasswing Gala in 2024, where Ms. Ferrer was recognized as the Gala Honoree, she announced plans to support educational programs inÌýColombiaÌýin partnership with J Balvin’s Vibra en Alta Foundation, thanks to support from I AM I World.
